Regulatory Affairs Associate Director/Senior Manager

We are seeking a solid candidate to keep up and further develop and strengthen the regulatory affairs team with a key responsibility in the field of efficacy and safety aspects for fish vaccines and pharmaceuticals for the aquaculture industry.

This includes different fish species, diseases and geographies requiring planning of tailor-made regulatory strategies, study programs, local regulatory requirements, dossier preparation for new products and maintenance/defense of existing products.

We are seeking an individual having experience from people leadership or being motivated to develop and expand people leader skills as well as interest and insight into scientific and technical skills within the area of responsibility. It is expected a split between people management and own specific deliveries to R&D projects or maintenance/defense activities.

You will be responsible for managing a team of approximately five colleagues.

Depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, the position will be defined as Associate Director or Senior Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop an enthusiastic team and foster a collaborative culture
  • Secure scientific and technological development within the team area of responsibilities
  • Be part of a leadership team in the regulatory function that set directions for strategies and goals for the RA function and coordinates and prioritizes resource allocation to maintain project timelines and deliveries
  • Collaborate and team up with partner groups in R&D, manufacturing and commercial to secure alignment and progression of the portfolio in line with company goals and objectives
  • Coordinate contact and engage with applicable regulatory authorities
  • Being a key resource for supervising and mentoring colleagues, review of deliveries and understand the big picture of dossier requirements

Qualifications and profile:

  • Team leader experience and/or proven ability in people management, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry or adjacent governmental bodies
  • Good communicator and a team player with a keen interest in development of leadership skills
  • Broad understanding of development of medicines (vaccines and pharmaceuticals) and regulatory framework
  • Industry experience, with a minimum of five years directly applicable job experience relevant to medicinal products
  • MS degree in Veterinary medicine, Pharmacy or other relevant life science background is required
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
