We are now looking for a committed Associate Scientist for our Outcomes Research team.

Key tasks for this position
 
•    Characterization of pathogens by molecular biological methods such as PCR, qPCR, sequence analyzes and antibody-based methods such as Western blotting and ELISA
•    Cultivation, purification, and basic biochemical characterization of bacteria
•    Implementation and development of ELISA methods to measure antibody responses in fish
•    Participation in commercial projects
•    Support on relevant parts of clinical trails
•    Documentation work; e.g. preparation of protocols, reports and publications
•    Practical laboratory work, with a focus on microbiological and immunological methods

Your characteristics 
•    Engaged and curious
•    Works independently, structured, targeted and with a high degree of execution 
•    Ability to handle several projects at the same time
•    Distinguished team player, with integrity, flexibility and systematic characteristics
•    Genuine interest for understanding the applicability of the results and contribute into discussions related to the findings

Your qualifications
•    College / university education within biotechnology, cell biology, fish health, microbiology, or other relevant disciplines
•    Experience from working with different analytical methods
•    Strong communications skills and ability to build relationships
•    Business fluent in Norwegian and English, additional languages are a plus
•    Experience from and interest in aquaculture
•    FELASA cat. C (Laboratory Animal Sciences for scientists) is an advantage
•    Experience with automatization and ELISA robot is an advantage

The position is in Oslo (Skøyen) at our modern and well-equipped research center.
